The Festival of pongal was celebrated with great enthusiasm at our school, bringing students and teachers together to honour Tamil Culture and traditions.
The celebrations started with a “TRADITIONAL WELCOME” and proceeded by an inspiring speech on the significance of PONGAL as a harvest festival of gratitude.
The highlight of the celebration was the live Pongal preparation, where our students chanted Pongalo…. Pongalo….. as the Milk overflowed is the symbolise of prosperity and growth. The school campus was adorned with colourful kolam.
The event concluded with the distribution of delicious Sakkarai Pongal and Sugarcane, leaving everyone with smiles and deeper appreciation for Tamil heritage.
Pongal was not just a festival but a celebration of unity, gratitude and traditional.
